He was naive painter born in 1925 in Kovačica village, Vojvodina, Serbia and was one of the most distinguished members of the artist group from the same location.
The village life is reproduced on his canvases according to his own imagination. Men are painted with exaggerated sizes and compared with the surrounding things in order to underline the importance of the thinking being with the respect to nature, which is thus in subordinate position. On the quiet landscapes the artists inserts figures with accentuated movements as they were taken by surprise, and with simplified expression.
Knjazovic is used to work on a limited number of motifs: one or two rural houses, some trees and often, the baroque bell-tower of the church in Kovačica are sufficient to describe the village; a few essential figures to give light to the event.
